Tigerlight introduces the new Mako X, a corrosion-resistant evolution of the proven Mako Area Light platform.
Designed for coastal infrastructure, heavy industrial facilities and mining operations, the Mako X delivers the same reliable optical performance as the original Mako while incorporating an advanced corrosion protection system engineered for high exposure environments.
At the core of the upgrade is a corrosion-resistant LM6 aluminium enclosure with double powder coating. This engineered housing protects the luminaire against salt spray, airborne contaminants, moisture ingress and mechanical impact, making it particularly suitable for coastal installations, ports, wastewater facilities and demanding industrial sites.
The enclosure design also features a rounded top profile that helps prevent the accumulation of corrosive materials such as salt, dust, and industrial residue. By reducing build up on the luminaire surface, the design supports long term reliability and consistent performance in harsh environments.
Inside the luminaire, high efficiency Nichia LEDs paired with Inventronics control gear deliver stable light output and dependable long service life. The fixture operates at 50W as standard, while an internal switch allows the output to be adjusted to 40W or 30W when required to suit specific project requirements.
To ensure durability in challenging environments, the Mako X is built with IP66 ingress protection and IK10 impact resistance. In addition, tempered glass over the LED lenses provides further protection for the optical components, supporting long term optical clarity and performance.
With its corrosion resistant enclosure, robust construction and flexible power settings, the Mako X expands the Tigerlight portfolio of luminaires engineered to perform reliably in Australia’s toughest operating environments.
