Purpose-built for the food and pharmaceutical industries, the Primo Food-Safe Canopy Light range delivers reliable and energy-efficient illumination in environments that demand the highest hygiene and safety standards. Designed to meet HACCP certification for food premises (Splash and Spill Zone), each fitting combines a high-efficacy 160 lm per watt LED chipset with an Inventronics dimmable driver to ensure powerful and uniform light output with long-term stability. Each luminaire features a food-safe PMMA acrylic lens, and a cast aluminium housing that provides exceptional resistance to moisture, heat, and cleaning agents. This combination earns the canopy light an IP69K rating suitable for washdowns. The integrated, fully programmable microwave sensor provides a platform for additional energy savings if practical.
IP69K
IP69K in food-safe lighting means the luminaire is fully sealed against dust and can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature wash-downs (typically up to ~80 °C), which are common in food processing and hygiene regimes.
This prevents the ingress of water, chemicals, and bacteria during aggressive cleaning, reducing contamination risk.
As a result, IP69K-rated lights are well-suited to HACCP-compliant environments where frequent sanitisation is mandatory.
